Cardamom prices dropped on profit booking after prices rallied last week as traders and stockists are expecting emergence of export demand.
Arrivals are dwindling in the auctions due to fag-end of the season and stockists are holding stocks as new crop supplies would be delayed.
Cardamom output during the current year 2015-16 (Aug-July) is estimated over 30,000 tons.
Cardamom prices in spot market gained by 3.40 rupees and settled at 763.80 rupees.
