EPIC RESEARCH NCDEX MENTHA OIL UPDATE OF 01 SEPTEMBER 2015

Menthaoil trading range for the day is 964.4-1001.4. Mentha oil spot at Sambhal closed at 1079.10 per 1kg. Spot prices is up by Rs.0.90/-.

Mentha oil prices gained due to fresh demand by traders also supported by lower arrival in the domestic market.

Huge carryover stocks from the previous year coupled with huge capacity built up of synthetic mint also discouraged farmers to bring less area under mentha plant.

Sources estimate total area under mentha planting reported a decline of 20% to 1.75 lakh ha this season.
